    Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose For Ceramic Billets


    CMC can be used in ceramic body, glazing pulp, and fancy glaze. Used in ceramic body, it is a good strengthening agent, which can strengthen the mouldability of mud and sand materials, facilitate body shaping and increase the folding strength of the green body. Used in glazing pulp and fancy glaze, it is a binder that plays a role of suspending, deflocculating and water holding.


    Application in ceramic body


    When CMC, the unique linear polymers structure, is in the water, its hydrophilic radical combined with water and become the solvation layer and make the CMC molecule be dispersed gradually in the water. CMC high polymers become the network structure supporting by the hydrogen bond and Van der Waals forces, where the bond property is shown. Ceramic body CMC works as the excipient, plasticizer and intensifier in ceramic industry.


    *Small usage, high and obvious effect of green body breaking strength
    *Increase the processing speed of the green body and reduce the energy consumption
    *Good ignition loss, no residue after burning and no infection of original color
    *Convenient for technological operation, avoid the flows of crawling and dry spray;
    *Good effect of decondensation, increasing the glaze liquidity, and easy for glaze spraying;
    *As excipient of blank material to increase the mud plasticity, and make easy for body shaping
    *Strong resistance to mechanical wear and few broken molecular chains during ball-milling or mechanical stirring
    *As intensifier of blank material to increase the green body breaking strength, enhance its stability and reduce the damage percentage.
    *Good suspending and dispersity property. Avoid the coagulation of the lean materials and color pulp pellet, and makes the pulp distribute evenly.
    *Evenly evaporate the moisture from the blank material, and prevent from being dried and cracked, especially used in the large-sized blank material of floor tile and polished tile and with good effect

    The application of CMC in ceramic billets


    1. It can increase the bonding strength of the billet and make the billet easy to form;
    2. Improve the flexural strength of the billet and effectively reduce the damage rate of the billet;
    3. Evenly evaporate the moisture in the billet to prevent dry explosion and cracking.


    Application of CMC in Ceramic Tile Bottom Glaze and Top Glaze


    1. Keep the glaze in a stable dispersed state;

    2. Improve the surface tension of glaze;

    3. Slow down the diffusion of water from the glaze to the billet;

    4. Increase the smoothness of the glaze surface;

    5. To avoid cracking and printing breakage during the conveying process caused by a decrease in the strength of the body after glaze application;

    6. Reduce pinholes on the glazed surface after sintering.
